This is a sample hair model generated using my hair modeling and styling system, and rendered using my hair renderer. Generating the hair strands and rendering this image takes 11 seconds on 2.14 GHz Intel Core2Duo processor.

Abstract
Even though several methods have been proposed to simplify this process, hair modeling is still a difficult task, especially when working with long hair. This project proposes a new way of modeling hair, which makes hair modeling easier than the current methods and is powerful enough to generate any desired hair model.

This project is a work-in-progress and the software is currently under development, so there will be more exciting hair models soon. Hair models used in other research projects are modeled using the software for this project.
